The attached letter addresses the installation of onsite sewage treatment and disposal systems in the areas of the state where the 2016 Springs and Aquifer Protection Act applies. 

The Act requires certain new onsite sewage treatment and disposal systems permitted beginning July 1, 2018, to be nitrogen-reducing. 

The affected counties are:  Alachua, Citrus, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Hernando, Jackson, Jefferson, Lafayette, Leon, Levy, Madison, Marion, Orange, Pasco, Seminole, Suwannee, Volusia and Wakulla.  

The letter provides more information and links to maps of the affected areas.
